  • Organic Benefits of Cheap Lino Flooring

Builders and decorators are always on the hunt for unique but cheap lino flooring. Linoleum has been a flooring favorite because of its flexibility and durability. It is made of linseed oil that is solidified with other organic materials and laid out on a canvas or burlap backing.

Frederick Walton was first to discover linoleum and established his linoleum company in 1864. Due to its organic components, cheap lino flooring has been an excellent and favorable material until the early twentieth century.

Linoleum is commonly used in hallways or heavy traffic areas because of its bounce-like property allowing less strain in walking. It is water-resistant which makes it easy to maintain, especially in the kitchen area. Unlike vinyl flooring, linoleum’s color pigments are mixed into the material, allowing the color to remain for a long time. It is also not easily scratched or scraped, making it last for almost decades.

Material designs like marble, wood, or granite has been integrated on cheap lino flooring. The necessary pigments are included in the manufacturing process and proved successful in imitating the genuine depicted material.

Linoleum comes in sheets that can be cut to preferred sizes. It is also available in different gauges or thickness depending on the location of installation. Installing linoleum is easy and can be done with the proper tools and materials. Make sure that the adhesive is spread evenly on the cleaned surface and the flooring would provide good service before needing any replacements.

Vinyl has currently replaced cheap lino flooring in most building constructions. Synthetic material still remains cheaper than the organic linoleum. If not for vinyl’s health hazards when not properly disposed, it may have defeated linoleum in most flooring aspects. Linoleum is still preferred by certain establishments, mostly hospitals, because of its hypoallergenic and anti-bacterial properties.
